Activities

  • Training of Bhutanese music teachers: In view of the sustainability of Kilu Music School, a young Bhutanese who left school after grade 12 with basic practical skills in music have been selected for an intensive music training course to become a music teacher in the near future. The course started from 1st February 2007. Once the music school is financially sustainable, it will automatically organize trainings for those who are interested in music and want to become a music teacher.
  • The Kilu Music School is now also planning to organize music classes for adults who are interested to learn music as well as winter classes for children during the winter vacation in January-February.

Fund Raising Activities

  • Every year in December, Kilu Music School is organizing a fund-raising concert performed by the music teachers and the students. The main purpose of the concert is to encourage the children to perform in public.
  • Sometimes, the school organizes movie festivals during which movies with a music theme are screened.
